Ryan + Nicole’s Wedding

June 8, 2019

Weddings are not just about a couple getting married. They are about the commitments of love and the promise of a long life lived with the person we adore. They are a ritual of uniting families, and having all the people we are closest to surrounding us and creating memories that we will never forget.

Wedding ceremonies change from couple to couple and culture to culture, but the core of a wedding is the celebration of love and this is the only thing that should matter; not how fancy the wedding can be, but the beauty that they symbolize. It’s always my profound honor to curate and make memories into tangible and visible things that couples can enjoy for the rest of their lives.

Ryan and Nicole’s Bohemia Overlook wedding fell on the most pleasant summer day in my recent memory. The sun made its appearance and lit the vineyards and barn with all the brilliance of a June day but without the stickiness that usually accompanies summer on the East Coast. It was a magnificent day made even more special by the vows taken and the joy shared between Ryan and Nicole and their family and friends. These two laid back and fun loving people sailed through their wedding day all smiles…making my job a fairly easy affair. Scroll down to see more images from this Elk River Valley wedding!

Mike and Danielle’s Wedding

Mike and Danielle’s wedding was held at the beautiful French Creek Golf Club on a very unseasonably warm (and buggy) fall day. We had a great time laughing with and photographing these two easy going people and their close friends and family. One thing that I have appreciated about Mike and Danielle is their genuine kind manner toward everyone. They are just super nice people and a pleasure to be around. Sometimes wedding events bring with them a lot of stress for couples and their families and it shows in how they treat one another. This wedding had none of that. Everyone I encountered was very friendly, cooperative, and just plain sweet!  It’s a breath of fresh air to be in an environment like that. Another thing I appreciate about this couple is their love of travel. In fact, that was the theme of their wedding decoration. From their candy filled globe favors, to the cake topper, to the post cards of places they have traveled to, this couple’s sense of adventure was truly evident. Saint Augustine said, “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.” To Mike and Danielle, I wish you both lots and lots of pages in your storybook together!

Chris & Brittany’s Wedding

I have the good fortune of working for a lot of really fun loving, laid back clients who want their wedding celebrations to be remember by their guests as fun and ‘true to their personalities’. Chris and Brittany were no exception. They were married Saturday October 7th at the beautiful St. Aloysius Church in Pottstown. They followed up their ceremony with a fall themed reception at The Barn at Flying Hills in Reading, PA. The evening was filled with a ton of dancing, eating, cake smashing, and all over great time as friends and family came together for this special occasion. Have a look at some highlights from their wedding day!

John & Lisa’s Wedding

October 6th, 2007 may be a date that is insignificant to you, but to two special people, John and Lisa, this date will always be the cherished day that they became husband and wife. I had the honor of witnessing the love, the spunk, the joy, and the memories that were made between this couple and their family and friends this past weekend. John and Lisa enjoyed a private ceremony at Columbia Station in Phoenixville with their closest family and friends where they shared their vows and commitment to each other. This was followed by a private cocktail hour and then a reception with all of their guests who helped them celebrate and party all evening. Watching the fun and laughter between friends is always a contagious feeling and this crowd had me grinning all evening. Moments like watching the groom rocking out with his mom during their dance together, watching Lisa smash cake in John’s face, watching Lisa and John’s little French Bulldog, Honey Bee, with her veil and flower covered leash poop on the lawn (LOL!), and listening to the heartfelt toasts given to them by Lisa’s dad and their close friends all remind me how much I love being able to capture snippets of these moments. This is what makes photography more than simply operating a camera. Photography is the art of freezing moments in time to relive again and again.  Please enjoy looking through this sneak peek and I wish John and Lisa all the best!

Steve and Allison’s Wedding

I sat here for awhile trying to think of how to sum up this wedding…which apparently seems to be no easy task for me. Was it fun? Yes! (how could it not be with such a spunky couple…and their friends and family). From the start of the ceremony all the way through to the reception, there was an undertone of joy and amusement. It was an amazing party with a talented live band that kept everyone dancing all night.  Was it beautiful? Absolutely. The attention paid to details from the groom’s cuff links, the bride’s bouquet memorial charms, the elaborate tablescapes, Louie’s outfit, the florals, the cake…it was all so beautiful. Was it meaningful? Yep. Their spoken vows were personal, thoughtful and expressed their personalities. The dessert bar for the guests to pack an assortment of goodies to take with them was a heavenly/sinful combo rolled in chocolate.

But above all these wonderful elements, the thing that resonated the most with me was the unique sincerity that this couple possesses. They do things the way that is true to them. There was no ceremony to stand on. They were simply themselves and had the freedom to express all the love, all the fun, all the energy and excitement that they felt and that attitude was contagious. They are such warm and engaging people and really know how to draw people into their happiness. It was an honor to be apart of such a special day and it was my privilege to watch as these two wonderful people joined their lives together. We wish you both all the best!
